Hi. The opera project always says that if a performer is best known as a G&S performer, it should get the G&S project tag, and not the opera project tag. Personally, I would be happy putting both tags on, but the opera project says that since the G&S project is a "daughter" project to the opera project, you can only have one of the two tags.
