sacred sites forbidden to men?

Just a comment here in the "ban on women" section. Cited article [5] only discusses the history of the site, and nowhere mentions sites that are off-limits to men. Presumably, there is some actual source for this??? 207.159.40.106 17:24, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

This is correct. The site only outlines the ban on women on Mount Omine but nowhere does it talks about the sites that are off limits to men.

Yeah, I am still working on getting the references linked correctly. The bit about some sites being off-limits to men is in one of the "External Links" section. I will get that hooked up correctly. MightyAtom 04:36, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Renaming

Should we move this article to Mount Sanjō? This is afterall the official name of the mountain. The current name would still be available as a redirect to the new article name, so readers would still be able to find the mountain under the old article name.imars (talk) 13:44, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Is this really in the Top 100 Mountains?

What is the name of #91 on the top 100 mountain list? I'm seeing two different answers on many English and Japanese websites: Mt. Omine or Mt. Hakkyo. Well, everyone seems to agree that the 1915m summit is the correct one, and the major map sites agree that the 1915 summit is Mt. Hakkyo.

The summit listed on this page is Mt. Sanjo, which is significantly lower than 1915m.

Anyway, there was some discussion about renaming this page to Mt. Sanjo. I don't know if that's a good idea, but if it is renamed, that might also impact what I wrote above.
