No, they are not synonyms. Intersex is about the bodies people are born with. Transgender and transsexual are about identity, and physical interventions to fulfil identity. The Wikipedia articles contain helpful explanatory information. Trankuility (talk) 12:02, 30 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
