Is this person actually noteworthy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.249.185.168 (talk) 21:42, 5 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Melinda Ledbetter is noteworthy because she was the primary factor that enabled Brian Wilson's recovery from 3 decades of severe depression. Brian has been much healthier emotionally every since he began his relationship with Melinda. Any careful reading of Brian's biography will demonstrate this point. Is she Yoko Ono? Not quite since Yoko was also a noteworthy artist, although I expect Yoko would get a Wiki page without her artistic accomplishments. Melinda's importance is derivative of Brian's importance. Artistically, Brian is extremely important. So, I would rate Melinda as a pretty important character in the Beach Boys universe.

On the other hand, I do not believe the backstage bickering mentioned in the article is truly noteworthy. Melinda was doing was countless stage mothers and stage spouses have done, and probably reasonably so because Brian is still somewhat fragile and she is naturally protective.76.16.93.184 (talk) 21:34, 8 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

There was a Hollywood movie made about her, so the short answer is yes.--Ilovetopaint (talk) 22:17, 8 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

No, there was no movie made about her: rather, she featured in a movie about her husband. Andrew G. Doe (talk) 15:13, 27 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
