Published books
editI added one listing, relying on WorldCat identification of the writer with this Mary Brown. It reports the book published in Australia, so the ID may be doubted:
I rearranged the list of books, and meanwhile removed two annotations (bold):
- Playing the Jack (Historical Duo #1)
- The Heart Has Its Reasons (Historical Duo #2)
Perhaps the point is a series of two books known as Historical Duo. Library records do not indicate that the second is a sequel, so I noted simply "perhaps a sequel to Playing the Jack". If the point is that both fictions are historical in some sense or two, that alone should be simply stated.
I found two Kirkus Reviews (only):
- 1985, Playing the Jack (presumable 1st US ed.) – moderately negative
- 1986, The Unlikely Ones (1st US ed., October) – exceptionally negative
