Merge with Peninsular Malaysia edit

Strongly disagree - the two article Peninsular Malaysia and Southern Thailand cover two parts of the Malay Peninsular, while this article covers what is common for the two regions (and also the small part of Myanmar which also belongs to the peninsula). There is of course some overlap, which then should be put into the common article, but nevertheless all three articles have enough non-common contents to be valid articles on their own. andy 20:17, 8 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Infobox edit

The long list of languages seems counterproductive for an infobox, but I wouldn't know how to shorten it. A collapse seems a bad idea. Maybe remove it entirely? Remsense 04:32, 11 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

There probably doesn't have to be four Malay names listed DervotNum4 (talk) 05:06, 11 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
After looking at other pages using the "native name" slot, I now think it should just be removed, far too big an area for it DervotNum4 (talk) 23:01, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'd support removal as well. Local names aren't needed for large geographical features, or we'd end up with hundreds for each of the continents. --Paul_012 (talk) 09:33, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
All the languages listed seem to have articles, so the information remains accessible even if not in the infobox. CMD (talk) 09:40, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
