1882 edit

Dunker W. B. R. H. & Pfeiffer L. G. K.. 1882. Index Molluscorum Maris Japonici, Conscriptus et Tabulis Iconum XVI Illustratus a Guilielmo Dunker. Cassellis Cattorum [Kassel], sumptibus Theodori Fischer. (Novitates Conchologicae, Supplement 7), 301 p., 16 pls., Kassel. (In Latin).

Where is an evidence, that Pfeiffer is the coauthor of this book? --Snek01 (talk) 22:54, 27 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Absolutely correct. This work is ONLY authored by Dunker. Must be a mistake in the biodiversity heritage library. The correct reference would be:

Dunker W. B. R. H.. 1882. Index molluscorum maris japonici, conscriptus et tabulis iconum xvi illustratus a Guilielmo Dunker. Fischer: Cassellis Cattorum [Kassel]. Series Novitates conchologicae. Suppl. 7: 1-301.

and has nothing to do with Pfeiffer —Preceding unsigned comment added by Snaildoc (talkcontribs) 05:04, 6 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

24 species named after him? edit

Can we be sure that all 24 of these species were named after this particular Pfeiffer? There were two other Pfeiffers that were malacologists. Invertzoo (talk) 13:15, 3 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
