An invitation

edit

Welcome to you again Snaildoc! I noticed the excellent new article you created on the freshwater snail genus Brotia. Thanks so much! I don't know if you know that Wikipedia has a Project that is dedicated to improving and expanding the encyclopedia's coverage of gastropods? Judging by your user name and your various contributions so far, you seem to have a real interest in the Gastropoda, so... I am giving you this invitation:

 Wikiproject Gastropods
I've noticed your edits on pages relating to Gastropods; perhaps you'd be interested in joining WikiProject Gastropods?
If you would like more information, please visit the project page or the project talk page.

If you look on this page [1] you will see who else is in the Project, and you can look at their user pages if you wish. The Project has people of all ages from all over the world: South America, North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, etc. We are always happy to have another editor in the project, and so please go ahead and have a look at what we do and who we are. The project mainpage is here: [2], and the project talk page is here: [3]. All good wishes to you, feel free to drop me a line, Invertzoo (talk) 14:04, 1 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your very nice reply. If I can help you in any way to learn what you need to learn in order to be comfortable on Wikipedia, please just leave me a note on my talk page. Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 12:15, 5 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
