Birth date edit
Having corrected the birth date to Nov 17 after this version of the 1911 Encyclopædia Britannica, I have now found a genealogy source giving Nov 9 as the birth date. Looks like some more research is needed to find out which date, if any, is correct. Lupo 13:42, August 15, 2005 (UTC)

Did he refuse to defend Charlotte Corday or not? edit
The Brittanica ([1]) says that he refused to defend her and that she sent him a letter of reproach for that, but the French ministry of justice ([2]) says that Corday's letter asking him to defend her did not arrive in time.
