Going by Google, "Louis Faidherbe" is 20x more common than the full name, plus the middle names seem unnecessary for disambig. Stan 21:20, 3 Jul 2004 (UTC)

If no one objects, I'm gonna do some expansion and formating, mostly focused on colonial West Africa. There's a fair amount in the fr:wikipedia, and his legacy creating the French colonial system is huge (along with Brazza, Archinard, Ponty, Eboue, and Gallieni: all of which need expansion and slotting into a coherent narative).
One Thing: maybe move Works by Faidherbe from Additional Reading into a own section name Bibliography.Carl Logan 20:07, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Will do! I'm gonna quit in a little bit, but will finish this over the weekend. I won't mess with the Franco Prussian war, or much with the retirement, as I don't really have sources at hand for anything other than Africa.
