List of episodes edit

Please do not re-add the list of episodes to this article. The reasons listed in the most-recent AfD (lack of reliable sources) and WP:LISTCRUFT provide enough basis for avoiding inclusion of this content. AldezD (talk) 19:11, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Again, please stop adding the list of episodes to this article. Reasons for non-inclusion are detailed in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Legends of the Hidden Temple episodes (3rd nomination). AldezD (talk) 13:14, 12 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Please stop adding listcruft to this article. The minimal references in the most-recent series of edits ([1], [2], [3]) are personal webpages that do not meet WP:V nor WP:RS. AldezD (talk) 18:29, 9 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Buzzfeed article edit

I found this article from Buzzfeed regarding the production and casting of the show. It has some great info about Fogg and Baker: Etkin, Jamie (2013-09-11). Board Game edit

There's now a Legends of the Hidden Temple board game.

Episodes edit

Official Production Order edit

The official production numbers of the following episodes can be found on iTunes, Amazon Video and on two production slates:

  • Blackbeard's Treasure Map (101) - You can tell this episode was rushed due to poor editing and a lack of credits.
  • The Golden Cup of Belshazzar (102) - Revealed in an interview with Kirk Fogg, the first episode ever took 18 hours to complete. It turns out the production crew never finished the first episode because the kids were getting fussy and were exhausted.
  • Galileo's Cannonball (103)
  • Wild Bill Hickok and the Dead Man's Hand (104)
  • John Henry's Lost Hammer (105)
  • The Golden Cricket Cage of Khan (106)
  • Elizabeth I's Golden Ship (107)
  • John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Gold Mine (108)
  • The Star of Sultan Saladin (109)
  • The Keys to the Alhambra (110)
  • The Helmet of Genghis Khan (111)
  • The Trojan Horseshoe (112)
  • The Pendant of Kamehameha (113)
  • The Lost Logbooks of Magellan (114)
  • The Moccasins of Geronimo (115)
  • Henry VIII's Great Seal (116)
  • The Lucky Pig of Amelia Earhart (117)
  • Ponce de León and the Lost Fountain of Youth (118)
  • The Treasure Map of Jean Lafitte (119)
  • The Paintbrush of Leonardo da Vinci (121)
  • The Medal of Sir Edmund Hillary (127)
  • The Golden Goblet of Attila the Hun (230)
  • The Bifocal Monocle of One-Eyed Jack (301)
  • The War Fan of the 47 Ronin (303)
  • The Lion-Slashed Jacket of Sacagawea (306)

The official production order goes by what Nickelodeon originally planned out. Makes sense, right? It wasn't just from research.

End Date edit

Don't rely on sources that say the show ended on June 27, 1995. They also say that Season 3 first aired in October 1994. That doesn't make any sense because, according to the "War Fan of the 47 Ronin" production slate, Season 3 started production on February 18, 1995. Someone on two wikis says the show ended in November 1995. We don't know if that's really it or not.

Broadcast Order edit

The episodes aired out of order (No one knows why), but apparently the sources I referenced four months back weren't reliable enough.

--Alec Borden (talk) 11:19, 17 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • These are out of order because the episodes are self-contained and do not need to be aired in a specific order. They're also from a game show like Family Feud where it isn't necessary to keep track of episode titles. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:02, 18 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

WP:DEADHORSE. The debate is over. There are multiple discussions and AFDs about why this content does not belong on Wikipedia. • As this is a game show that isn't serial in nature like the reality show competitions, it doesn't need to have a list of episodes. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:00, 18 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Layout edit

I will start the discussion here then, there appears to be a dispute on the recent edits I made. My reasoning is that I was trying to separate the article by a timeline by making it a before and after style layout. I like some of the new additions done by you @AldezD: which is why I welcome you to discuss this. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 16:24, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

A television game show does not have a legacy. This term is fancruft.
The details currently in the Legacy section are broadcast related. This edit retained all text currently in Reruns and TV movie and put them in a section re-titled Broadcast History, and changed the sub-header from TV to Television.
The details in the Legacy#Other section are random IPC notations. The results of a poll and one specific actress stating the program is her favorite do not meet WP:IPC for inclusion.
The statement:
"The show has also since been featured in the cartoon series, [[The Loud House]] in the episode "Legends"."
…is improperly coded adding hard returns and does not format the television show The Loud House using italics. AldezD (talk) 16:46, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Knowledgekid87, please stop adding content to this article that does not meet WP:IPC. A single poll is not evidence of a cult following. An actress stating it is her favorite show is not evidence of a cult following. AldezD (talk) 15:03, 12 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

L.o.t.H.T.'s Last Airdate edit

  1. As I said before, sources that say Legends last aired on June 27, 1995 are inaccurate and therefore unreliable.
    1. They say that Season 3 started airing in the fall of 1994 when it started production on February 18, 1995.
    2. Two confirmed airdates after June 27, 1995 are for "The War Fan of the 47 Ronin" on July 11 and "The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great" on August 9 (News article on the female Red Jaguar Kristin Kerkvliet from that episode).
  2. We don't know if that person on two wikis is right about Legends last airing on November 10, 1995.
    1. Even though "The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great" was the last episode ever taped, it wasn't the last aired ("The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta" was the last to ever air).

Just trying to figure out Legends's last airdate in 1995.

Alec Borden (talk) 23:31, 28 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Legends is said to have last aired in the fall of 1995. The wiki says November 24, but we don't know if that's really it or not. If anyone caught the last aired episode ("The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta") on tape the day in 1995 it aired and are reading this, good. My sandbox has confirmed and presumed airdates.
Alec Borden (talk) 21:22, 22 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
There are no WP:V sources for any of this info. This debate ended five years ago when the AFD closed as delete per consensus and lack of reliable sources. AldezD (talk) 23:14, 22 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
I told you I was just trying to figure out when in 1995 Legends last aired. Not trying to bring back the episode list. But no, you just didn't read carefully. As you may have seen, it doesn't say exactly when in 1995 Legends last aired. Also, I saw the page was deleted in 2012. Therefore it was six years ago and not five. Hope you get banished from Wikipedia for falsely accusing me of wanting to bring back what went through an AFD process.
Alec Borden (talk) 21:42, 23 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Alec Borden: AldezD has had a history of combative behavior based off of blanked talk page remarks. If you want to take the matter to WP:ANI there is that, but I would stay on topic here. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 22:27, 23 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

The link above does not provide WP:V source of a final air date. Your comment "'The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great' was the last episode ever taped" is unsourced. The other detail above from your original post is WP:OR and this discussion does not belong on the talk page because Wikipedia is not a discussion forum. If you have WP:V sources for the last air date, add it along with the source to the infobox. AldezD (talk) 01:34, 24 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please stop spamming this article. The details at Wikiquote are nothing more than fancruft spiels and verbatim exchanges between host & Olmec. This does not improve the article. "Results" section edit

I'm wondering if this section should be removed. It seems unencyclopedic, there's no sources to confirm the information and I think a section like that would be best left for fan sites. --My Pants Metal (talk) 17:37, 1 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Just to add to my previous comment, that section seems to violate WP:NOSTATS. --My Pants Metal (talk) 17:39, 1 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
I've decided to remove the section. It seems there were previous discussions (see the talk page archive) regarding putting in stats and figures and the general consensus was that it violated WP:NOSTATS. --My Pants Metal (talk) 18:05, 1 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Reboot cancelled? edit

So I recently came across an Adweek article about renewed and cancelled TV shows for the next television season.[5] Listed under the section for The CW is Legends, stating that it is cancelled. The thing is, no other outlet (Deadline, Variety, etc.) has reported that it was cancelled, and this is the only source to say it. Not to mention that the other networks have sources linked to their statuses, but the ones for The CW do not. If any admin or user wants to throw their 2 cents into this and discuss whether or not we should update the article to reflect this, go ahead. BrickMaster02 (talk) 00:39, 20 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
