Expansion tag on "Early life and amateur career" section edit

This section was tagged for expansion, with the edit summary: "article lacks info about parents, siblings, education etc." I added information about his education. I also added information on how his parents reacted to Fignon's cycling ambition. Fignon was not so open about his private life; I read on a blog that in his autobiography, he mentioned his brother only once, and his marriage and children only when necessary. I can not find any reliable source that even says he has a brother, and the names of his parents are shown nowhere.

I think that the names of his parents are not important for this article, neither is the fact that he had a brother. It did not influence the things he was notable for in any way. For that reason, I think all expansion required has been added, and I remove the expansion tag. If I am incorrect, please put the tag back, and discuss here what more is needed. --EdgeNavidad (Talk · Contribs) 09:53, 1 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

1984 edit

Just to say I edited some misleading text that implied Fignon won the Giro-Tour double which he never did. I hope the amendment is clear. Firestar47 (talk) 18:24, 14 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
