Old notes

edit

Please supply the reason(s) why this as yet unrecognised breed is being included as a sighthound. Bt all accounts it appears to be a scent hound.--Richard Hawkins 14:38, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Temperament

edit

This whole section reads as heavy POV with no references whatsoever. "Savage", "ferocious" - this is clearly sensationalism. This section is actually somewhat offensive.

"It has a savage temper; it is very much like the bull terrier in its temperament". This can be verified how? The Bull Terrier article's first paragraph reads "Their temperament has been described as generally fun-loving, active and clownish". The same thing is repeated below, "A Combai is as intelligent and sensible a family dog as a German shepherd, and as ferocious as Rottweiler to intruders." Other breeds should not be used as a comparison, and there is no need whatsoever to use sensationalist terms like those. 64.56.253.131 (talk) 06:48, 21 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Needs Serious Rewrighting

edit

I just fixed some grammatical errors and rephrased some parts of the article so that it at least makes some more sense, but this article should probably be rewritten to a much higher extent. As mentioned in the Temperament section, this is written in pretty heavy POV, and what's with all the comparisons to Rajapalayams? What does that author have against them and why is it relevant to this article? Gnarlwhal (talk) 13:37, 8 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

CombaiKombai (dog) – All of the sources cited in the article spell the breed name "Kombai". The disambibuator "(dog)" is required because Kombai already exists as a DAB page. Cavalryman (talk) 04:43, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
