Question: since I've translated this page from the original (Chinese), how do the citations work? Do I need to add citations in all of the places where the citations are on the original article? The original has over 100 citations, but of course most of them are in Chinese which is rather useless for English readers of Wikipedia... Guohuade (talk) 02:08, 10 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Chinese citations are allowed, although English ones are preferred. Lasersharp (talk) 04:55, 10 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Are they required for an article that's already cited in the original language? Guohuade (talk) 06:10, 10 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

More important info

edit

Lasersharp, I've just added the infobox to this article, since he is now an 'important person' already which requires such infobox to get all of his detail information. I still write "Mayor of Taipei (elect)" though, since he hasn't taken office. Once the date of 25 Dec 2014 has arrived, the "(elect)" word can be removed. I've also added the linkbox (or how we all say it?) to his Wiki Common at the bottom of the article. Chongkian (talk) 16:20, 30 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Spelling of Name

edit

I've noticed spelling of the mayor has been changed. I think we ought to be consistent on this and choose the spelling of the name that most of the sources use. Lasersharp (talk) 01:46, 25 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

How to change "pinyin" into Pinyin

edit

i think we should call it Pinyin, because it's a proper noun. but i don't know how to edit it(i am new here) HallonZhu (talk) 15:07, 24 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

I think, if an editor has a capitalisation focus, that editor might note the desirability of capitalising the 1st person pronoun. The term "pinyin" may or may not require capitalisation. It appears here as a feature of a standard template. Any concerns about the state of the template need to be raised not here but on the relevant template project page. sirlanz 00:41, 25 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
