Games and Goals with Lyon

edit

corect information can be found here : with Lyon in Ligue 1 (as as june 2006) : 156 games and 50 goals. Info box corrected accordingly Dingy 02:26, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

L'equipe agrees so I have taken the "disputed" tag off. ugen64 19:49, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

In career statistics, games and goals for European competition is clearly wrong. Aediasse (talk) 03:43, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Free Kicks

edit

A free kick accuracy of 97%? This is false. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 145.116.20.28 (talk) 17:51, 16 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Juninho never played for Internacional, so the information regarding Mauro Galvão is clearly incorrect. Was Mauro Galvão a coach at Vasco or Sport when Juninho played there? Zerologic 13:52, 31 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Games and Goals

edit

Looks like someone has altered the appearances and goal stats for Lyon, as posts above indicate the true ones can be found on the official Lyon site, or that of L'Equipe.

I have translated the free-kick section from French Wikipedia to expand the section. Please feel free to proof-read/brush up/correct as you see fit.

Sydney FC

edit

Whoever wrote about Juninho and Sydney Fc is mistaking him for Juninho Paulista. Don't allow this to be put back on.

Best free kick taker "of all time"

edit

While Junior is, in my opinion, certainly one of the best free kick takers today, any statement that he is considered as such - much less considered to be the best "of all time" - needs to be referenced. I'm not leaving any such uncited statement up, especially given that the editor who added it has been vandalizing the articles of other prominent free kick takers. Feel free to re-add once there is a citation. --Sesameball 17:41, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

This statement has been repeatedly re-added after being removed by another editor. Please see Wikipedia:Verifiability, which explains wikipedia's policy: "material that is challenged or likely to be challenged should be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation". Until this verification is made, the statement should not be re-added. --Sesameball 15:08, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Same user also added an uncited reference that a video game gave him a "99 Free Kick Accuracy stat", whatever that means. What is the relevance of this, other than trivia? Is he saying this is a reliable reference?. Strike IMO. Alexf(Talk/Contribs) 13:00, 13 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Citations needed

edit

A lot of information was added last month in various edits that were completely unsourced. They have been tagged and no references have been added, so it's getting to be past time to remove them. I tried to find reliable independent sourcing for some of the claims but have been unsuccessful. Also, am unable to find the claimed L'Equipe source regarding the statistic it is attached to. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction. --SesameballTalk 06:30, 21 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have removed several of the claims that remain uncited. Please re-add if sources are found. --SesameballTalk 00:21, 9 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

36 freekick goal claim

edit

I'm willing to let this stand as cited. However, if people continue to pursue WP:OR by modifying the number as time goes on, I will return it to the original claim, which I found a citation for, of having scored "more than 30" freekicks. Let's try not to be silly. --SesameballTalk 02:34, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

"First player to play two top-flight games in two countries" claim

edit

This claim is untrue. Søren Lerby turned this trick on 13 November 1985, featuring for Denmark in a World Cup qualifier at Dublin, being subbed out, and flying to Düsseldorf, from where he was then driven to Bochum. In Bochum, he would be subbed into the Bochum v Bayern Munich cup game. Mark Hughes did something similar in 1987.[1]. Hack (talk) 06:14, 2 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

International caps and goals

edit

Juninho Pernambucano's Sambafoot page which mentioned that he has 43 caps and 7 goals are incorrect. FIFA does not recognize the friendly matches against club teams (Sevilla FC and FC Lucerne) and non-FIFA affliated national teams (Catalonia national football team) as a full international. The 3 unofficial caps and 1 goal from these 3 matches need to be excluded. The following FIFA news page also mentioned that he won 40 caps for Brazil before retiring after the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany. RSSF record of Brazil most capped players and National-football-teams.com also listed him having 40 caps and 6 goals. - Martin tamb (talk) 12:13, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Free kick goals

edit

I added that juninho has 76 free kicks, as 1 isn't shown in this video,(this video only shows 75 as of 2012 according to the video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NesfdRNtwsE which is against criucuma to which I'm referring to, but found another free kick goal against Penarol like this one which isn't in the first video I posted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWY763KEkDI which makes it 77. But I'm not sure whether or not to add 77 to his free kick goal tally. --162.206.181.86 (talk) 22:35, 4 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
