Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Victor Schmidt (talk) 13:17, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

"Lie Lie Lie" edit

I believe this song has been released now, no? Most articles with stories on it were published four or five days ago. Can I go ahead and add it in? Billiestan123 (talk) 16:48, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

I took it into my own hands to add it. For a reliable source, there is an article by ET Online, and Bassett's Twitter has a post about it as well. Billiestan123 (talk) 16:58, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Statement saying Joshua doesn't identify as queer edit

According to the Gay Times: "Although social media came to the conclusion that Bassett used the opportunity to come out as LGBTQ+, a representative for the star told GAY TIMES that he doesn’t identify as queer." [1]

Should the article be updated to reflect this fact? Is the Gay Times regarded as a reliable source or would PinkNews be better? Sluggor (talk) 13:05, 11 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

The same article you’re talking about from the Gay Times has now removed that quoted section from their article. It may have been from a fake source or something but whatever the reason, as of now, there is no statements from Joshua Bassett or a representative of his denying or retracting his coming out. I say we leave the article as is. Mason 39 (talk) 16:10, 11 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Oh right I didn't notice that. In that case, I agree, keep the article as is unless there is light of new reliable information. Apparently Joshua himself has liked posts referring to this fact being fake according to his recent 'likes' on Twitter. https://twitter.com/joshuatbassett/likes. I know that's not a definitive answer but definitely it seems to further indicate that source was misinformation. Sluggor (talk) 17:04, 11 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Telling Myself edit

"Telling Myself" was referred to as a single by multiple reliable sources including Billboard and Broadway World; both sources refer to "Feel Something" as a follow-up single to the song, leading me to believe the information is from Joshua's management team or promotion team. Speaking of which, prior to the release of "Feel Something", "Telling Myself" was referred to as a single by Joshua's management company and record label. Additionally, Joshua confirmed in this Billboard interview that "Telling Myself" does serve as a single. Billboard is a secondary source that monitors the music industry very closely so it is highly reputable. Per WP:STICKTOSOURCE, I would say "Telling Myself" is an appropriate single. Also, music videos are a form of streaming and promotion. Obviously this doesn't indicate that it is a single however it does show a release apart from the EP. LOVI33 18:48, 15 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Joshua Bassett (actor)Joshua BassettJoshua Bassett (academic) was moved by Certes on 4 February last year, with the reason cited being that the actor was more prominent. I believe that the actor is now primary over the academic, with the two-entry disambiguation page no longer necessary. A hatnote to the academic would solve any minor ambiguity issues which may arise. Sean Stephens (talk) 05:39, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

WP:SMALLDETAILS would seem to apply here, as Joshua is enough disambiguation from Josh. I support this. Amaury • 09:24, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. Search engines, pageviews and incoming links all suggest that the actor is far more likely to be sought than any other topic. I put a dab at the base name in case the actor's popularity was transitory, but it no longer seems necessary. According to his infobox, the rugby player's name is not a diminutive for Joshua. Certes (talk) 10:15, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Although the infobox omits this fact, sports references here, here and elsewhere confirm that the rugby player's given name is indeed a diminutive for Joshua. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 22:23, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for doing the research. I've fixed the article and the dab. In that case, we should normally keep the dab but could add the rugby player to the hatnote as an alternative. Certes (talk) 22:45, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
I agree that we should keep the disambiguation page also, I'm not sure if I need to edit the RM to reflect that but keeping it is certainly something we should consider. Sean Stephens (talk) 09:52, 28 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support As said above, the fact that the disambiguation itself has more views than the academic himself tells that people are obviously searching for the actor. The views comparison just seals the whole thing completely. [1] Jovanmilic97 (talk) 20:17, 1 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
