Discussion
editOrder of Lt. Gov vs Gov for New Mexico
editPlease note...John Sanchez is listed as the 29th Lieutenant Governor, which does not coincide with the current Governor (31st). Until recent times, there was no power in the NM Constitution to appoint a replacement Lieutenant Governor following the succession of one to Governor for any reason. So, there are two more Governors than Lieutenant Governors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emann15 (talk • contribs) 04:43, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

Surname
editOn 1 April 2014 User:Comayagua99 moved John Sanchez -> John Sánchez and changed the spelling through the article. I followed all the external links (including the official state Lt. Governor's page) and all the references (nearly half of which are dead), and the spelling "John Sanchez" is used exclusively, without a single instance of "John Sánchez". Is there any evidence that the Lt. Governor uses a diacritic in the spelling of his name? -- ToE 20:34, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
- I've corrected the spelling to "John Sanchez" and moved the article back where it had been. -- ToE 18:18, 27 May 2016 (UTC)

broken references
editAll of the ones with no title are to the NM legislature's unbelievably bad website, so I can't tell what the title should be either in the link or the archive link. At least, the links don't work at all in Opera. That's kinda a primary source anyway. I don't have the patience to fix this right now, but he *is* the current lieutentant governor if I am not mistaken, so there must be a bio out there on a secondary source. I am making a not to come back to this but if anyone else happens by (because of what he said about the Albuquerque Journal for example) feel free to beef this up if yoou want or know how....
