John Means (politician)John Means (businessman) – A procedural nomination; several people at the recently-closed AfD felt this person was more notable for his business career than his political career. power~enwiki (π, ν) 00:21, 6 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Support per nomination. Subject was a very prominent businessman, but his time as Ashland's City Council president lasted seven-and-a-half months.    Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 07:20, 6 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Strong support. John Means was an important businessman, yet not a particular important politician. He served in the city council and became mayor for the remainder of a term after the full term mayor, Brodess, had died in office. He never ran for mayor other than in the city council and only once for US Representative, failing to become the Republican candidate. Impressive are his business record and also the totality of his record, combining the business with the philanthropic, political and other public activities. Thank you for the procedural nomination, power~enwiki! gidonb (talk) 04:07, 8 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
