editIs Sherbrook (yes, no"e") Street in Winnipeg also named for J.C., and how did it come to lose the "e"? Esseh 22:34, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Unneeded citations
editC class. It will be promoted to B class when the following issue is fixed. It is not necessary to cite every sentence when a group of sentences can be cited from the same source. There were 5 "Heathcote1" citations in paragraph 1 of Early career. They have been re-edited to 2 citations. Please review the updated version to see how it is done, then please fix other paragraphs with the same problem. Thanks. Note that if every sentence in the paragraph is from the same source, then only one citation is needed at the end. Another example is shown below. Djmaschek (talk) 02:42, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- Pinging @Dormskirk here because now I'm very unsure as to what path I'm meant to be taking with these references! Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 10:21, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- OK. I have reverted my edit to ensure consensus. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 10:24, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- Incorrect: Sentence 1.<citation1> Sentence 2.<citation1> Sentence 3.<citation2> Sentence 4.<citation1> Sentence 5.<citation1> Sentence 6.<citation1>
- Correct: Sentence 1. Sentence 2.<citation1> Sentence 3.<citation2> Sentence 4. Sentence 5. Sentence 6.<citation1>
- B class. You might want to try using sfn citations, but that's optional. (See Template:Sfn). Djmaschek (talk) 20:39, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- I'm going to start trying to use them in articles from now on. Being rather new to all this they've scared me a little up to this point! Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 21:00, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hey Pickersgill-Cunliffe, if you want a hand with sfns, feel free to hit me up - they're my preferred citation style and I'm happy to help show you the ropes. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 21:13, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, through staring at them on other articles for long enough I think I've got the idea now but I'll make sure to contact you if it turns out I've just deluded myself! Thanks, Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 21:28, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- Sounds good, cheers :) ♠PMC♠ (talk) 21:41, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
