John Bois and John Boys are about the same person, so they should be merged. The article can be under either name (I don't know which one is more appropriate), but the two articles should be merged. -- Natalya 18:37, 12 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
They don't seem to be the same person at all. One is a military commander, the other is a translator. Deb 12:02, 13 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Oops! My mistake, I meant to address this article and John Boys (scholar). You've already made a redirect to this article though, so it's all set. Thanks for pointing out the mistake. :) -- Natalya 19:54, 13 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

An IP user keeps replacing a reference to one Jon Bois here. This Jon Bois is a sports blogger and appears not to be notable (he has no wiki page). I've reverted a couple of times, but don't want this to degenerate into a slow-speed revert war. COI declaration: I am a remote descendant of John Bois (scholar). In view of the potential COI, can others please comment on whether Jon Bois (blogger) needs to be referenced in the hat note lead. Thanks. Martin of Sheffield (talk) 16:51, 19 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
