Hardly first frescos in Sweden edit

I cannot agree that Johan Sandberg painted the first church frescos in Sweden. I have read the encyclopedia entrey where you picked up the info but it is unfortunately incorrect. A considerable number of churches in southern Sweden have frescos dating back to the 15th century. See for example Vittskövle Church. Ipigott (talk) 09:20, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

There are many photographs of old frescos in Swedish churches here. I suggest you simply remove the sentence unless you would like to be more specific (e.g. oldest 19th century frescos in Sweden), providing you can find an appropriate reference. Ipigott (talk) 16:04, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I don't know much about frescos so I didn't know it was incorrect. I'll remove the sentence. Thanks for noticing! :) Theleftorium 16:09, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. Otherwise the article is very interesting. I don't know where you live in Sweden but it would be good to have images of the Uppsala frescos as part of the article. I have not been able to find any on the web. If you are now going to spend more time on art, perhaps you would like to have a look at Art of Sweden. It's been written mainly by anonymous contributors but is not a bad start. Unfortunately it lacks references and does not go into much detail. It could, for example, usefully draw on sv:Svensk konst and on other Swedish sources - such as your Conversation Encyclopedia. Please let me know if you are interested. Sorry, I live all the way down in Skåne and I probably won't be going to Uppsala anytime soon. As for Art of Sweden, I might be able to spend some time on it in the future. Right now I'm bit busy though and therefore I prefer to write small biographies such as this one. :) Theleftorium 15:09, 3 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
