Lead edit

  • "He served part of the suspension before withdrawing from school to prepare for the upcoming draft." - please clarify which upcoming draft Wisewman was preparing for

High school career edit

  • "By the summer of 2016," - try not to mention seasons per MOS:SEASON
  • "He joined the St. Louis Eagles Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) team." - please removed the acronyms in parentheses since they are not used anywhere else in the article
  • Also, please added when exatly Wiseman joined the St. Louis Eagles AAU team
  • Wikilink points, rebounds and blocks to the relevant articles
  • "Wiseman was ruled ineligible for his junior season by the TSSAA" - you can shorten this sentence so that it reads as the TSSAA ruled Wiseman ineligible for his junior season
  • "while appearing in the McDonald's All-American Game, Jordan Brand Classic, and Nike Hoop Summit." - the Jordan Brand Classic, and the Nike Hoop Summit.

Recruting edit

  • "On November 29, Wiseman signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Memphis." - I think you want to make it clear that Wiseman signed a National Letter of Intent to play college basketball

College career edit

  • "He was sidelined from the team's two preseason games in October with an ankle injury." - you can state Wiseman sustained a right ankle injury as stated in The Commercial Appeal source used to cite this sentence
  • "as the Tigers defeated South Carolina State, 97-64." - please use an en dash (–) instead of a hyphen per MOS:DASH
  • "ruled him ineligible." - ineligible to play for Memphis.
  • "Hours later," - how many hours later exactly?
  • " he had 17 points and nine rebounds to lead Memphis past UIC, 92-46." - same issue as the second query in this subsection
  • "He was one of the highest rated prospects in his class." - please state if possible who regarded Wiseman as "one of the highest rated prospects in his class."

References edit

  • Reference 1 is dead and will need to be archived
  • Reference 19 is missing the author who wrote the story and its publication date

Shall be placing this review on hold to allow the nominator to address/respond to the queries raised above. MWright96 (talk) 17:45, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • @MWright96: All comments have been addressed, although the link to Reference 1 works for me. Sportzeditz (talk) 18:24, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • @Sportzeditz: Think it must be that yours truly is residing in a different country to you. Nevertheless, am satisfied with the changes and will promote to GA class. MWright96 (talk) 19:09, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Semi-protected edit request on 26 March 2022 edit

I would like to suggest an edit to remove the statement that Wiseman played college basketball at Memphis and edit it to tell the truth. I suggest adding that he only played 3 games at Memphis, all while ineligible due to his recruiting scandal. I would like to add that he left the school after being suspend when it was found out that coach Hardaway had payed Wiseman’s mother during his recruitment. 2601:545:C001:1A20:65E1:2724:5AB2:4435 (talk) 19:10, 26 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 19:21, 26 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hard to revert edit

Just went to revert a height change done by an IP user and saw different heights listed. NBA.com has him at 6'11" and Basketball-Reference.com has 7'0". Hard to revert without being 100% sure. The NFL has this same problem with weight between PFR and NFL.com. - Bringingthewood (talk) 02:48, 25 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
