editFunny how a refusal to bribe officials or use the black market is described as "high ethical standards". In the rest of the world that would be regarded as adhering to minimum standards of behaviour. It says a lot about the rampant corruption and lack of business ethics in India. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.15.138 (talk) 00:34, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
Format of the Article
editThe article doesn't have the format of a biography of a person but rather a melange of different set of information about a single person.
WikiProject class rating
editThis article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 04:04, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Hagiography ?
editThis article strikes me as hagiography, rather than biography. Perhaps someone with more knowledge of Mr Tata's life and work than I possess could help to revise it ? Mhenriday (talk) 09:58, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Errors in Sources
editThe word "Saphis" in the article is very likely to be a typo for "Spahis", a type of French cavalry regiment mostly recruited in North Africa. The typo comes from one of the cited sources, and there are other elements in them which sit uneasily with other known history. There's even a contradiction within the article on the date of Tata's military service. A 1924-25 date means he just missed the French involvement in the Rif War. But it is also claimed his service was in the Second World War. And the Spahis were never a part of the French Foreign Legion.
I think I am already in Original Research territory. We need better sources to resolve these issues. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.113.48.90 (talk) 17:12, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
