... that you can find mangiare all’italiana in the Italian Quarter in Dublin?
- ALT1: ... that 13 contemporary Dubliners reenacted The Last Supper by Leonard da Vinci for a mural installed in their city's "Italian Quarter"?

- Comment: Nomination is a day late but thought it would be good to feature solid work by relatively new editor. QPQ and ALT hooks to follow. Still need to notify article creator.
- Update on 2 September 2023: Have created a new article on Dublin's Last Supper and am re-proposing this as a double hook.
Created by Ridiculopathy (talk) and Cielquiparle (talk). Nominated by Cielquiparle (talk) at 01:17, 16 August 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Italian Quarter, Dublin; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.
- Still no QPQ yet. More worryingly, the hook fact is not the most interesting---I should expect to find Italian food in Dublin's "Italian Quarter", after all. Furthermore, many of the article's refs e.g. [1] aren't super reliable. I agree that this is a nice piece especially since it's by a newcomer but I wonder if it's fit for DYK as things stand right now.... KINGofLETTUCE 👑 🥬 12:42, 21 August 2023 (UTC)

- Have added the QPQ above. Sorry did not see the review and got distracted by other DYK biz. Will add ALT hook and take a look at the sources in the article, thanks. Cielquiparle (talk) 10:07, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Kingoflettuce: Thanks for your feedback. Could you please take another look? I have turned this into a double hook (including a new article created 7 days ago), and have added a second QPQ, so you can also claim double credit for having to review this twice. Regarding the sourcing for Italian Quarter, Dublin, we've gone through and upgraded each and every problematic source, and have taken pains to remove all the questionable sources. - @Kingoflettuce: Would you be willing to re-review this for a second QPQ credit? We've turned it into a double hook. Cielquiparle (talk) 21:21, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hey there, I'm happy to say that the original article reads much better now, and the one on the mural looks superb too. Both articles were new enough at the time of their respective nominations. Sourcing (AGF for the offline ones) for both is proper and the new hook is interesting enough (would recommend including the mural pic if possible). Thanks! Demarcation
editDo we think the Italian Quarter constitutes 'Bloom Lane' only, or also includes the pedestrianised bit named 'Millennium Walkway' which goes all the way north to the Luas tracks? @Bastun I get the feeling you think it encompasses the 'Millennium Walkway'. However, I would wager it is only 'Bloom Lane'. As there is no official place to check, I wonder if people could weigh in. Ridiculopathy (talk) 14:55, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- I really think it only constitutes whatever the marketing people working for Mick Wallace back in the day imagined it encompassed - as you say, there is no official way to check. It's used in the occasional newspaper restaurant review or commercial property piece, and nowhere else, from what I can tell, more often than not with scare quotes.
