File:Ismael zambada garcia.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion edit

An image used in this article, File:Ismael zambada garcia.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Other speedy deletions
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Manhunt edit

Seems like the authorities might be closer and closer to getting this guy, I think. [1] They recently arrested "El 19", but many of his top lieutenants fell at the end of last year. After I finish updating El Chapo's article (most of my work is on a Word document), I'll get to this guy. I don't see him making past this year. ComputerJA () 01:28, 18 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Height and weight edit

I didn't know where to post this but he's 1.80 not 1.75, according to an interview he did http://www.proceso.com.mx/?p=106967 & he looks heavier than 160 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.38.155.177 (talk) 17:49, 4 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Thanks for posting. I think the U.S. government's measurement is actually just an estimation. Mexican databases might have a license of him somewhere with his height, but it is likely that the figures were simply put down as an estimate too (at least that's what they did with my license ... they just asked me how tall I was). I'll be posting both heights as soon as I come back from class. Thanks again for consulting the talkpage. ComputerJA () 18:36, 4 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Rename article? edit

Hi. I'm thinking we should probably rename the article to Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada, similar to Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán. He is overwhelmingly known/referred to as "El Mayo", and you'll hardly see the surname "García" in the press. I also want to fix the redirect of "Ismael Zamabda" once I create articles for Ismael Zambada Imperial and Ismael Zambada Sicairos, his sons. MX () 18:24, 9 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Support'. Known mostly as El Mayo, so that would be easier to a reader to locate this article. Rowan Forest (talk) 18:34, 9 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
