This reads like it was written by somebody at LucasArts. Point of view that approaches actual cheerleading. Needs to be heavily edited. Kebrostrom 11:56, 20 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

August 2007

edit

I've moved the article to Indiana Jones (video game) and redirected the previous 2007 and newer 2008 pages to it as LucasArts' site refers to the game as just "Indiana Jones", sans year. I've also tidied up the article, deleting some categories and seemingly random See also links, and removed what sounded like a sales pitch for euphoria. Fair use rationale for Image:Indiana Jones site image.jpg

edit

Image:Indiana Jones site image.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Systems

edit

Does anyone know if this is being developed for the Wii, PSP, or DS because it seems like a mistake not to make for them. And I'm starting to get tired of all these games being made for the PS3 and the 360 but not the Wii. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.61.222.72 (talk) 21:10, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Nope, sorry. I don't know for sure if it's going to be for anything other than PS3 and 360. My hopes are that it'll be like TFU, and be for every system out there. I myself have a PSP, and TFU for it. Feel free to watch this article and update it if you find a valid source on the internet saying anything about a PSP, DS, or Wii version of the game. =) --75.185.110.190 (talk) 19:28, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is coming out for the Wii, DS, PSP ad the PS2. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.32.30.244 (talk) 21:24, 17 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Title of the game

edit

This article was recently moved to Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. What's the source for that title? The link used in the summary when the move was made was an Indiana Jones fansite that linked to a gaming website who quote a representative from LucasArts. The fansite mentions the Staff of Kings name, but the gaming article does not. Where does the title come from? —scarecroe (talk) 16:14, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I know it was moved back, but I think that somewhere in the article, we should add, "Rumors have surfaced that the game's title will be Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings." I won't do this until I have other peoples' approval. Riavar (talk) 11:52, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
It's not really Wikipedia's policy to include rumors unless they're significantly substantiated. Where are such rumors surfacing? —scarecroe (talk) 20:27, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Right here. I respect your opinion, but isn't the possibility of Lao Che being the villan also a rumor? Granted, there are differences, but it's more or less the same. However, if don't want me to put the possible title in the article, I won't. Riavar (talk) 20:02, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
The way it's currently worded in the article, the bit about Lau Che is speculation. If there's a source, it would be worth citing. Again, unless it's just a rumor. —scarecroe (talk) 20:36, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I see your point. No title will go in the article (unless, later, a source can be found). Riavar (talk) 00:18, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Found this. Confirmed? Although it seems to be for DS and PSP, not 360 and PS3. --Thaddius (talk) 14:20, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not sure if that is viable but LucasArts has information and confirms the name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.32.30.244 (talk) 22:14, 25 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Xbox 360 and PS3

edit

Has the release of this game been cancelled for the 360 and PS3? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.61.222.72 (talk) 17:07, 25 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, the latest trailer from LucasArts along with a recent press statement indicate that they shelved the development of the next gen version of this game in favor of the Wii, PSP, DS and PS2 versions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.82.98.50 (talk) 22:16, 3 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Needs updating

edit

LucasArts' website is in full publicity mode about this game. And yes, it does sound like Harrison Ford himself.------24.161.249.211 (talk) 07:28, 8 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Apologys

edit

Sorry, the reason for the screwed up article is because I tried to update the article since the game is now out and tried to delete the unreleased game box but messed up the information box for the game. I would fix it but I don't know how to. sorry again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.77.45.225 (talk) 03:03, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Differences

edit

Maybe something should be mentioned in the article about the differences between the different versions. For instance, the article says the game begins in 1939 in the Sudan with a hunt for an ancient ram's head idol. However, in the PSP version the game begins in 1922 in Panama with Indy as an archeology student, being taght by Professor Charles Kingston, on his first dig searching for the Jade Sphere. Which is supposed to have been a Mayan astronomy tool. The game then leaps 17 years to 1939 San Francisco where Archie Tan has called Indy about meeting him to discuss something he recieved from Kingston, whom Indy thought had died years before. - annonymous 6/14/2011 12:34 AM EST — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.71.214.23 (talk) 04:34, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
