Talk:Hurricane (Eden Golan song)

"Hurricane" is a song by Israeli-Russian singer Eden Golan edit

why have you mentioned "Russian"? "Unicorn" is a song by Israeli singer-songwriter Noa Kirel.

I.M" is a song by Israeli singer Michael Ben David

"Toy" (Hebrew transliteration: טוי) is a song recorded by Israeli singer Netta Barzilai.

and I can go on and on.

Insert: Israel, with the help of the US, UK, Germany and others are committing a genocide, right now. Please boycott the Eurovision if you don't support genocide of the Palestinians. Over 35,000 are murdered so far, over 70% are women and children.

(If you're the person reading this suggested inclusion, its time to take a your stand for humanity. Do it!) 137.191.235.66 (talk) 12:03, 30 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Eden Golan is Israeli, not Israeli-Russian. 2A06:C701:4D1B:B401:CB53:D05E:CF02:107D (talk) 08:08, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, @Nascar9919! I'll be reviewing this article as soon as possible. I don't promise to be that fast, but I will try to be as fast as possible because I know how frustrating it is to wait so long. Very recent, yes, but I see that it is very stable. Best, Santi (talk) 19:34, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Thank you so much for taking this on. Don't worry about rushing through this; I know this deals with a very complicated subject. Feel free to take as much time as you need. Cheers, and carpe diem! Nascar9919 (he/him • tc) 19:37, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

In the last paragraph of Section 4.2 "At Eurovision" it states "The song was performed sixth in the final, ahead of The Netherlands' Joost Klein and before Lithuania's Silvester Belt." This should be updated to account for the fact that Joost Klein was disqualified, can use the following instead.

"The song was performed fifth in the final, ahead of Luxembourg's Tali and before Lithuania's Silvester Belt (Golan was originally set to perform sixth until the disqualification of The Netherlands' Joost Klein)" Snkn179 (talk) 09:01, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

All three sources call it a pop ballad

@Or-Shalem: I'll get to it. Thanks for the recommendation. Cheers, and carpe diem! Nascar9919 (he/him • tc) 04:38, 16 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I think we should just say "pop" in the genre= parameter as per ballad and sentimental ballad, "ballad" is not considered a genre on the English Wikipedia. If "ballad" is considered such crucial information, by all means, work "pop ballad" into the lead. That's a description of the genre and style of song. But leave out "ballad" from the genre parameter. Ss112 18:34, 17 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
