Gardenhire Incident
editThis has great significance and SHOULD be in the article. It is at least the fourth time Hunter has tossed him. Gardy was suspended for comments about him once. Wendelstedt even suggested that Gardy ought to attend his umpiring school. This is a clear history between the two. And this was the playoffs....much more significant than the regular season. I have included a source, which includes the fact that the pitch "appeared" to be a strike. Anyone who wants it left out of the article is ignoring the elephant in the room. Random Ejections
editDo the two random ejections in the "Other" section really need to be in here? I'm sure he's ejected many players and managers over the years. Why are these two incidents singled out for inclusion? Zddoodah (talk) 23:09, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- Even though the Tigers fan in me loves the fact that Wendlestedt has thrice ejected opposing pitchers for hitting/throwing at Tigers batters (it also happened in Spring Training this year), I don't think the incidents merit mention and I have removed them. Aaron Boone
editsomeone, likely a yankees fan with a bone to pick, has added a subsection about the ejection of aaron boone on april 22, 2024. this section is extremely charged. i’ve removed the most charged part of the section but it’ll need a bit more work.
wikipedia is not, in my opinion, a place to air baseball-related grievances. Rhymeswpicard (talk) 06:22, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- It's clear that Boone did not say anything. Look at the sources listed 2600:8800:9106:8970:B55B:E4ED:D30D:D682 (talk) 20:55, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- And I hate the Yankees. I'm an unbiased fan and clearly see the umpire was way out of line. So your comment of "likely a Yankees fan with a bone to pick" is laughable. 2600:8800:9106:8970:B55B:E4ED:D30D:D682 (talk) 20:57, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
