Image:Hudson River Psychiatric Center fire.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Thanks BetaCommand for the notice. I responded on the photo page, to clarify that the article had split and the photo appears on and relates to the article named Hudson River State Hospital, not to the article for the continuing/current facility named Hudson River Psychiatric Center. In the History/19th century section appears: "in 1866 then Governor Richard McCormick appointed [etc.]". However, the Governor of New York in 1866 was Reuben Fenton. There was a notable politician from NY named Richard McCormick--Richard Cunningham McCormick, who in 1866 was the Governor of Arizona Territory.

I went and looked at the sources. Although the Historic 51 site does say "Late in 1866 New York State Governor Richard C. McCormick named five men", the primary sources do not support that name. Most don't mention the governor at all, and the 1872 NYT article just refers to "the Governor", who, at the time being referred to, was Reuben Fenton. I don't know where the Historic 51 site came up with Richard McCormick, but it's wrong, and I've changed it.--ShelfSkewed Talk 15:51, 25 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

The article refers/implies that the main administration building is known as a "Kirkbride" (in the first paragraph and under Buildings).
