DYK hook
edit- ...that in 1628, Hryhoriy Chorny and Hetman Mykhailo Doroshenko took part in a military campaign against the Crimean Tatars?--Riurik(discuss) 02:50, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Not too juicy. Many Hetmans did. More notably he is considered one of the main figures in the foundation of Cossack Navy. But even for that there were several and I have not written about it yet.
However, most notably here is for the Ukrainian Cossack Hetman being tried and executed for playing the Polish hand against the Ukrainians. Vyhovsky narrowly escaped similar fortune later, unlike his two associates, in Hermanivka Black Council. So, I can't think of any other Hetman with the similar fate. This should be the hook. --Irpen 03:20, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
execution
editDoes anyone know how he was executed? One source I read said only beheaded, another said quartered. Beheading is evidently only part of being quartered? I don't know what the article should say. Ostap (talk) 06:26, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
