Possible BLP issue

Hello recent editors of this article, Henry T. Yang, chancellor of the University of California Santa Barbara. Can I get some additional opinions on this sentence that User:Fbackman recently added? I keep removing it, but the original editor is adamant that it stay, and keeps reverting me.

Chancellor Yang's tenure saw the dismantling of reasonable student fees, increased racial tensions on campus and increased student violence against women. In November 2020, the university launched the Racial Justice Fellowship program, 26 years after his inauguration as Chancellor.

Diff. Personally, I think it has citation issues (none of the sources used mention Yang), BLP issues, OR issues (cherry picking negative events to highlight and paint a negative picture of Yang), and NPOV issues ("dismantling", "reasonable", tries to persuade rather than state facts). Although who knows, maybe I'm wrong.

The claims of "increased student violence towards women" I want to be sourced. Sometimes these numbers reflect changes of reporting more than anything else. Plus generally this mischaracterizes events. At the University of Utah, Ruth Watkins' term has seen a rise in murder of female students, but this is partly driven by 2 high profile murders, at least one perpetrated by a non student. The fee comment is a clear violation of NPOV. We need to write of the fee changes by reporting what happened without judgement. What percentage rise, and how long had it been since they changed? Given the edit-war in progress, I reverted to the last clean version pre-edit-war and have protected the page from editing for 48 hours to allow for discussion of the proposed changes here and the building of consensus.
