Small typo? edit

"He was unmarried and significantly impacted by his time fighting France in the Artists Rifles division."

Was he "fighting France" or was he "fighting in France" in World War One? I'm not aware that Britain was at war with France during his lifetime, but I don't want to correct this based on an assumption. Gms3591 (talk) 11:52, 3 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Good catch. Originally a typo, but I rephrased to match the source's fuzziness, which is linked online, so you can check. czar  14:31, 3 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I don't mean to be critical of someone else's work, but your edit wound up reading "He significantly impacted by his in France with the Artists Rifles division." That can't be what you intended, can it? There needs to be a "was" between "He" and "significantly," and then there needs to be something between "his" and "in." I've looked at the source and it seems like "his war service in France" would be a fair paraphrase, and the reader can infer which war. Gms3591 (talk) 11:30, 12 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Yes—typos. Mea culpa. (Consider just fixing it next time instead of explicating.) I worked it into the prose elsewhere. czar  14:50, 12 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
