Was reading "World War II: Day by Day" by Anthony Shaw, and noticed a section dedicated to Dentz. Will Expand the article in the future. Although Dentz may seem like an obscure figure, figured a WWII General in command of 45,000 soldiers and the Syrian territory is worth having a stub about anyway. Particularly since combat ensued, and the forces involved were greater than 2 divisions in strength.

Feel free to add anything at anytime. Thanks.. Cowboy357 04:20, 12 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Then you should cite that book as a source within the article. ww2censor 13:15, 12 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Metropolitan France

edit

Where it states, "Most chose to be repatriated to Metropolitan France rather than join the Free French", the term Metropolitan France is just a sly way to avoid stating the truth. Most of the French soldiers chose to return to Vichy France in support of the Germans. This sly revisionism really is endemic throughout Wikipedia and should stop. Just another perfect example how Western historians slyly lie. No wonder why Europe can't ever gets its act together, for it can't ever face its own shameful acts, and so the Middle East continues to pay the price. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.116.50.209 (talk) 22:16, 7 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
