Coordinates edit
From google maps, Lady Alice Island (in the middle of the chicks) is at: -35.890281,174.734445 Taranga Island (Hen) is at: -35.962127,174.719839. I don't know how to add it to the Article however. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.33.111.74 (talk) 21:25, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Māori names edit
The islands have two sets of Māori names, one being those of Taranga and her sons:
Taranga: (The Hen)
Māui Mua: Motu Muka
Māui Pae: Huarewa
Māui Roto: Whatupuke
Māui Taha: Motu Wairaka and Tawatawa
Māui-Tikitiki-a-Taranga: Araara
Does anyone know why, or which set has priority? --Hugh7 (talk) 23:59, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
Plural chickens? edit
Is the formal name of the group really "Hen and Chicken Islands", with the chicken in the singular? Is it not the "Hen and Chickens Islands"? Richard New Forest (talk) 11:15, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
