editDoes not meet WP:SOLDIER & sig coverage not found link, just passing mentions. Many sources are non RS.
Highest rank achieved was SS-colonel & briefly commanded an SS division in the last month of the war, but by that time it hardly qualified as "significant body of troops in battle" as the units were being destroyed, disintegrating or fleeing west.
