I edited the sentence with "tomboy" and one with "tender" ("tender age of thirteen") because these descriptions are subjective. Your additions seem very helpful. Perhaps noting why these activities (hunting/fishing/horseback riding/eating with men) are unusual for women in this culture would help explain why she is such a notable figure in samurai history, as certain clans trained girls how to defend their homes but subserviance to men was an imperative. The article is factually but contains very little on the woman herself. It's like reading a timeline of her life. Really we need discussion of what "she did" as it were. She was nicknamed the "Nun Shogun", yet there's no discussion of her political involvment, etc.

The article was assessed Start-class because it lacks in-line and citations and lacks coverage & accuracy regarding the subject of the article. In concurrence with the above comment, there is very little content about Masako, herself. Some questions:

In the Gempei War, it says she "was never defeated in battle". Does this mean...
- ...she fought as a soldier, in hand-to-hand combat?
- ...she led an autonomous unit of troops?
Why was she called the "nun shogun"? The article doesn't say anything about her as a shogun.

Oo Hime? edit

Please confirm. The text does not seem to be correct. It says that the first child of Masako and Yoritomo, Oo Hime, was born 1182, before the Genpei war started. The Genpei war was 1180 - 1185, though. I think Oo Hime was actually born in the year the Genpei war started, in 1180. It's her brother, the first son of Yoritomo and Masako, who was born in 1182.

I am not certain though, as I only am able to provide Google searches, but it does make more sense in the text.
