contradiction

edit

There is contradiction between this article and Historic eruptions of Mount Fuji article concerning the number of Mount Fuji eruptions and the dates of the those eruptions. For example in Historic eruptions of Mount Fuji the Jōgan eruption occured in 684, long before Heian period and instead of the 3 major eruptions in this article Historic eruptions of Mount Fuji mentions at least 17 from 781. Avihu 13:31, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for pointing that out. The digits had been transposed. The correct date is 864, which is the sixth year of Jogan. I've corrected it. Also, I've removed information about other eruptions from this article, and linked to the article on Historic eruptions so that the information will be easily accessible. no solid sources on the death toll from this eruption?

edit

Due to the population density of some areas around this volcano, there would have been massive casualties from ash being inhaled. The article should be updated with some info on this from Reliable Sources.50.111.24.41 (talk) 12:34, 16 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

A flood of floods, a rain of ash, too many rocks in the river

edit

Compare the present state of the article with Jan 2020. There were mentions of floods there, but only two. And ash, rocks, and rivers mentioned.

But now there are 6 repetitions of floods. And 6 repetitions of starvation. And repetitive text about ash, rocks, rivers, agriculture, etc. etc. There are at least four repeats of the *same* information.

Everybody likes to add their text. [1] [2] [3] [4] and others. Do they read the article to see if the information is *already* present? Shenme (talk) 01:10, 16 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

regime reactions?

edit

There should be a section on what steps the shogun/regime took in the wake of this disaster. Also, the impact on religious leaders and what reactions they took with respect to calls on the people, etc.50.111.6.149 (talk) 13:02, 16 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
