Talk:Giant Robo (TV series)

This is one of the worst articles I have ever read on Wiki. Both due to its mocking descriptions "Their wardrobe is an interesting collection of what appears to be an assortment of castoffs from Soviet officers, wartime Wehrmacht personnel, Central American guerillas, and the designers of Italian sunglasses. In addition, at least one Gargoyle member is always seen with a Castro-esque beatnik beard." And its poor editing "(heretofore known as "Giant Robot," or just "Giant Robot" in the US)" What is the difference between "Giant Robot" and "Giant Robot"? And since it is not used in the double capital prior but is after should "heretofore" be "hereinafter"? People shouldn't use words they don't know the meaning of. 75.191.151.75 (talk) 00:46, 29 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

I agree. I think the author thought he was being clever, but in doing so, he came up with a shoddy article. I was suspicious from the beginning, with the comment, "In the US version, the Gargoyle Gang is an ambitious, incompetent group with a high mortality rate." And I asked myself, "Was this different from the Japanese version?" I mean, I can't imagine there was different footage shot. This is the disadvantage to a wiki, open to anyone who creates himself an account.

This article seriously needs a good cleanup to be written about the original japanese version first, with the american name changes afterwards. 2.28.231.11 (talk) 03:44, 18 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

I second this. The article is almost as bad as the Shout Factory/MGM dvd's! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.127.3.249 (talk) 14:56, 2 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

concluding episode edit

Abbythecat (talk) 01:57, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Should be a mention that this series had a final episode that really was a finale. Very rarely did this happen in the '60's. The last episode ends with (SPOILER ALERT and all that) Unicorn destroying the Gargoyle Gang, and Giant Robot destroys himself in order to kill Guillotine. I can't think of many TV shows from the '60's with 'concluding' segments ... FUGITIVE, of course ... GUNS OF WILL SONNETT ... HANK ... MAN WHO NEVER WAS ... JOHNNY SOKKO ... and ... any others ...? Inclusion of translated Japanese version's episode titles edit

Is it possible to include here translations of the Japanese version's episode titles to go with the American version's ones? That would be nice.Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 00:32, 25 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
