Dolphin

On the back cover of a 1977 album "Goodbye" (Private Stock Records PVLP 1028) by a group named Dolphin, the members and their instruments are listed as follows:

Roy Davies - keyboards, Jerry [sic] Conway - drums, John Giblin - bass, Jimmy Jewel - saxaphone [sic], Roger Churchyard - violin, Paul Carman - guitars, banjo, vocal etc., Twain Twin and the Twiplets - percussion varied.

The album is produced by Ned Blackstump and includes nine tracks, all written by Paul Carman:

Imagination Dancing, Street Angel, Take Care of the Ocean, The Actress (Queen of the Chautauqua), Only Seventeen, Rocking in the Rain, Midnight, Linda Lovelace, People of Stone.

King Crimson

Not sure there is any connection between Gerry and King Crimson, so I am wondering why the King Crimson thing is at the bottom of the page? Jude12 (talk) 14:29, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

The navbox in question appears to have gone in with this edit. It was the only contribution by that IP editor; the addition is unexplained; and there is no mention of Conway in the template either in the current version or in the version as it stood on 11 October 2008. He's also unmentioned in King Crimson, King Crimson discography, or any of the 13 studio or 25 live album articles. Accordingly, I have removed the template, since I can see no justification for it being there. I'll try to buttonhole him at the Fairport gig in Didcot on 1 May, see if he ever beat the skins as a sessionist for KC. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:04, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

The man himself says that he was never directly involved with King Crimson, although he did play in bands who appeared on the same bill as KC at one time or another. --Redrose64 (talk) 16:39, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Incidentally, with this edit, I'm not sure if Judy Dyble is meant (who I'm sure left before the band became King Crimson), or if it's the old Ian McDonald/Ian McDonald confusion. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:04, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
