last shot edit

The material on the last shot is in the controversy section. The recent edit now duplicates that material, almost word for word. There is absolutely no reason to include the same exact information in two separate sections. nableezy - 18:47, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

On every other page that mentions this issue, the push-off controversy is at least mentioned the first time the shot is described. This was discussed and settled 3 years ago on the Michael Jordan main page [1]. You don't get to move that discussion down to a controversies section just because you created this page. I dont get to do anything, but neither do you. The Michael Jordan discussion shows that there was consensus to include the material, and it was included here. And, per WP:BRD, if you are reverted you should not just continually re-revert. nableezy - 20:23, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm restoring the language that is used in every other description of this event. Don't play coy by pretending that not mentioning the push-off until a lower "Controversies" section is not an attempt to marginalize that view. Every other page mentions the push-off the first time - Jordan's bio, the 1998 Finals page, and the page specifically discussing the shot. So pages that are both more general and more specific about the shot in question discuss it the same way. Only the page that you created and that you apparently view as your little fiefdom does it differently. Don't tag me for an edit war that you started by altering the language that every other page uses. Niremetal (talk) 20:35, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
It is not an attempt to marginalize the view, and I am not being coy. I put it in the controversies section along with the "controversies" about the shot before halftime not counting and Harper's later counting. And I did not "start" the edit war, a quick look at the history of the page shows that. But fine, I will move the rest of the controversies section into the game section. nableezy - 21:08, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
