Leopold Ferdinand von Wieldt The person referred to by D L Serventy, mentioned in this article as L. F. von Wieldt, is presumably Leopold Ferdinand von Wieldt. Notability may be borderline, though Serventy thought to mention him, so I linked it here in case someone decides otherwise. I think he lived in Western Australia at one time, and ended up in Queensland. His wife was Elizabeth[?], they had children and he fought in the Great War. According to a KIA list I saw on Trove, he became ill while serving, and this this source states "Returned to Australia 8 August 1918".

Whitlock mentions a place NW of Wiluna, "Milly Pool", this is assumed to be an Anglicised synonym for Mooloogool, which is mentioned here on homestead and pastoral lease lists. Yalgar River is nearby.

Citation needed. He travelled to at least one other northern European destination from England, I would say Finland if that was a real country.

Bank manager who went from birdman to jailbird and back again! Reflections, p. 56 - 58 says this is ~~the first work on the subject~~. Not found in ref, now cautiously incorporated.
