Children
editI have replaced a rather POV paragraph on Halsema's children with some factual notes on her personal life (source Dutch Wikipedia article and the Telegraaf article of the replaced paragraph).
The replaced paragraph was a near-literal (but error-ridden) translation of the Telegraaf article it listed as it source. The reason I called the paragraph "POV" is the fact that though nearly the entire article has been translated, one sentence has not been included. That sentence is the one where Halsema states that her children going to a different school had nothing to do with the large number of muslim children on the old school.
The relevance of which school her children go to is questionable. I did include a sentence on that in the personal life section, as a summary of the replaced paragraph, but as far as I'm concerned it can be removed completely. The article listed as a source does not explicitly link the change of schools to her political views, but does reference her feminist views (expressed in an earlier interview, not related to her children changing schools).
For reference purposes here is the replaced paragraph:
One of the most utter left party members from GroenLinks Femke Halsema of the House of Representatives, has taken her children out of a black school at Transvaalbuurt in Amsterdam-Oost around December. Halsema already mentioned in early interviews that she had great difficulty dealing with ‘all type of covered women’ whom she encountered at the school where her children had been placed before. She also mentioned that there where a lot of girls of Islamic background who weren’t allowed to play with her daughter, or neither with her children in the afternoon. Halsema said: ‘I don’t want my daughter to end up lonely, luckily she has different and other type of girlfriends now’. They have been replaced to a new type of mixed school called the ‘Kunstmagneet school’ where her twins will receive a variety of creative courses. Her reaction when taking the shift for her twins to a new type of school: ‘My children have been moved to a new school which is better for their own personal development, they are no social experiment’. For any personal in-depth reasons she hasn’t left anything out. ‘It is the sake of my own children privacy’. This information was known on Saturday 27 November 2010, 05:30 from the De Telegraaf ("The Telegraph") which is the largest Dutch daily morning newspaper.

Again on Femke Halsema's children
editSomeone tried to put the situation back as it was, so with the reference to the very subjective article in The Telegraaf. (For example, it is utterly doubtful that many people within the GreenLeft party would characterize Halsema as a 'most utter left party member', since she introduced the concept of liberalism as a leading principle within GreenLeft). The segment on her decision to change her children's school deserves a place, but it has to be more description, less direct political opinion stated as a 'fact'. I don't have time to write that now, so for now I deleted the piece and replaced it with a few basic facts on her children and partner. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.117.101.8 (talk) 17:20, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.
The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.
Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 17:15, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
