Fansite edit

Am running a fansite for Faryl and wonder whether I would be able to display it?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rickemiller (talkcontribs) 19:36, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

No. Per our external link guidelines, fansites are only appropriate if they themselves are significant in some way. J Milburn (talk) 20:33, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

GA? edit

How can this be a GA without an early life section? We don't even have a birthdate. 74.104.32.216 (talk) 19:18, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

We have a birth year- does the exact date really matter? She's 12, do you really think there's much to say about her early life? Compare Connie Talbot, a featured article with no "early life" section... J Milburn (talk) 09:12, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Personal Appearances edit

I have moved the information about the sports appearances out from the new section, into the prose. Per our guidelines on trivia, salient information should be included in the main article, rather than simply listed. Thanks. J Milburn (talk) 21:39, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Which someone has then chosen to remove entirely, but for which I can't see any obvious notes in the History ? Somersetlevels (talk) 20:30, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Friends edit

I know that she is friends with fellow Kettering singer Jack Lucien. Maybe you should add that on here? Proof of this is on their facebooks and myspace ([1]). 86.11.78.172 (talk) 13:27, 23 August 2009 (UTC)thaliafan86.11.78.172 (talk) 13:27, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is that at all important? J Milburn (talk) 17:23, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Surely it would be interesting as it would link her to the only other modern day singer from Kettering, surely? 86.11.78.172 (talk)Thaliafan86.11.78.172 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:33, 1 September 2009 (UTC).Reply
Possibly, if a reliable source had picked up on it. Blogs and other self-published sources are not usually considered good sources of information. It isn't really our place to judge what's interesting- that's the job of the mainstream press. J Milburn (talk) 08:32, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Background edit

Does anyone know why these kids names are Faryl and Shea? Very strange names.Royalcourtier (talk) 05:24, 15 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

BLP and sourcing edit

We cannot use sources like the Daily Mail to support information on a living person. In fact we cannot use it at all on Wikipedia. Rather surprising that this article made it through peer review in this state. The other thing that leaps out is the overquoting. A lot of these quotes could be summarised. --MarchOrDie (talk) 09:07, 14 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

BLP and sourcing (redux) edit

I don't see "Daily Mail" used as a source here. However, I still see "Daily Mirror", whose reliability has been questioned. I don't know how reliable Northamptonshire Evening Telegraph is. At least one article is now a dead link. Some statements are tagged as uncited. Further improvements are needed. --George Ho (talk) 08:13, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
