The article makes no mention of the fact she returned "...because she was law abiding" nor does the source, which says she returned because she was urged to by some priests. Tne act then demonstrated (edified) to her keepers that Catholics were"...truthful and straightforward..... even with their persecutors" and as a result, she was given greater freedoms. In fact, the imprisoned priests told her of the necessity of obeying English law with good conscience but she would not and escaped instead.
The hook is also slightly ambiguous in that it sounds firstly, as if she escaped from imprisonment for carrying "lewd books"; and secondly, she returned of her own accord on both occasions (when in the first instance, she was recaptured).
What about, ALT1: ... that Sister Elizabeth Sander, having been imprisoned for carrying "lewd books", escaped but later returned and was rewarded for her honesty with greater freedoms? Or something similar?--Ykraps (talk) 23:05, 16 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Victuallers: Are you intending to proceed with this nomination? In all other respects it is good to go: long enough, new enough, policy compliant, no close paraphrasing etc; just the current hook is neither in the article nor the source.--Ykraps (talk) 08:31, 20 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Ykraps: Thanks for your patience. I have added two alts and removed the words you could not find my paraphrase for. Ping me if you need a tweak (or just do it), Cheers Victuallers (talk) 10:13, 24 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
