The statement "Washuta's mother had Cowlitz Tribe ancestry" is misleading: the more accurate statement would be, "Washuta's mother is a member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe." The term "ancestry" suggests descendancy rather than membership. Elissa Washuta is a member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, and enrollment requirements include a parent's enrollment.[1][2]
Category: University of Maryland, Baltimore County alumni is incorrect. The correct campus is College Park.[3]
