Restoring the redirect. Successful completion of missions (sorties flown, # of enemy aircraft shot down, etc) is not part of SOLDIER. A MilHist RfC on this topic has failed to gain consensus in May of 2017:

In summary, per the outcome of the discussion at Notability:People on notability of Knight's Cross recipients: permalink, certain recipients were deemed non notable and WP:SOLDIER has been modified accordingly: diff. • I disagree about notoriety.
He was the third most effective(in victories) heavy fighter/Zerstörer of the Luftwaffe( ranking ) and received the iron cross for 15 aerial victories, along with 11 aircraft, 162 motor vehicles, 254 covered vehicles, 3 locomotives, 8 Flak positions, 12 anti-tank gun positions and 8 infantry positions destroyed on the ground((source 1) and (source 2 ), in therms of aerial victories he is not notorious, but in therms of ground targets destroyed, he is. Also he was the unique knight of iron cross who was born in south america. About books, the military wikia have a lot of books in reference 2001:1284:F019:8BC2:69D3:7F2B:4108:D83D (talk) 23:55, 7 December 2017 (UTC)ViktorReply
I don't see the notability here. Successful completion of missions is not part of WP:SOLDIER and the book sources look unreliable and / or passing mentions. K.e.coffman (talk) 00:14, 10 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
Yes, you are right"(...)there is enough information in reliable sources to include details about a person's birth, personal life, education and military career, then they most likely warrant a stand-alone article. (...)" - WP:SOLDIER, if he managed to survive and published a biography showing how was his life in Brazil before moved to germany, the motivations from him to move to Germany, how was the relations of a "foreign born german" and native born germans, books showing how he learned german(if he learned german in his home country, probably was the Riograndenser Hunsrückisch German), how his family reacted to his decision to move to other country, since he moved before 18 age, how he joined in luftwaffe, then will be a different case, even if he is the unique guy from south america with a a iron cross and the | third most effective zerstorer pilot in aerial victories, there are no personal information to create a personal article. 2001:1284:F01C:4923:295B:8F63:3E39:4709 (talk) 00:41, 10 December 2017 (UTC)ViktorReply
I'm not sure I'm following. Was his book notable? K.e.coffman (talk) 04:29, 12 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
What a piss-poor failed trolling attempt. No wonder from WikiStalin himself. 2804:18:106E:37A1:C6F3:889E:5357:56E0 (talk) 07:52, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
