Refsworldlee You did read the Controversy section of his article, right? Especially the part which states "Missler has also acknowledged this plagiarism"? In this video he admits the plagiarism. It matters not whether he was lazy, dumb or dishonest; publishing the words of another without attribution IS plagiarism. If anyone is "plain wrong", it is Missler, not me. This deserves an answer of some kind. To me, although he had notoriety or fame of a kind, his achievements were not of sufficient notability for me to feel comfortable in posting his name to the Deaths page, but what troubled or puzzled me was the stark lack of mentions when searching his name on the internet. I see a ton of sources online today, quite a few prehumous, too. I can't see any reason to not redlink or pipe him for thirty (twenty) days. Founding a nation, however small, seems bigger than playing US college basketball in 1956 or pointing a Bulgarian TV camera in some other year (no offense to Linn and Govneski). Gone for the main national or regional three of MP, Flemish MP and Senator. The Mayoral position is local, and the ministerial appointments would not have occurred without the primary Parliamentary memberships. Change that without fear of 3RR, but keep it Ro3. Using the supplied source, I am only getting an Error 16 page at http://www.southcoasttoday.com/obituaries/20180526/thomas-helgeland-88. According to Microsoft, this is a geographical IP block - in other words, UK (at least) users will not be able to access the source without using a VPN device. First Lady of Louisiana

An editor has re-added "First Lady of Louisiana" to the death entry for Elaine Edwards. I have two concerns with this addition. First, there is no Wikipedia article for this position, which means that the notability of the position is unclear. Second, the title is "inherited" from one's spouse, meaning that WP:NOTINHERITED needs to be considered. I am interested in the opinions of other editors whether this role should be included in Edwards' entry. Thanks, WWGB (talk) 03:35, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

Maybe the editor thinks the lead at First Lady, which reads "wife of a non-monarchical head of state", means that her governor-husband was a literal head of a U.S. state? Granted, Edwards was the longest-serving FLL, but that would not be notable if her husband hadn't been a recurring governor, and therefore making mention here irrelevantly inheritably non-inclusive. — Wyliepedia @ 04:01, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

I think one of the biggest problems with removing the description from her entry here is the massive focus given to the title in her own Wikipedia article. And the "not inherited" issue is weak because she has her own article and does not rely solely on her husband's article to inherit any attributes - they're self-fulfilling. She was approved and posted for Main Page RD and currently still remains there through cleanup of her article, so messing with it at the moment will break it, not that I would because, despite her husband making her de facto FLL and interim senator, that makes her article notable. And I will add this is an American convention. First Ladys' have responsibilities in the United States- be it on the Federal or on the State Level. They are expected to entertain traveling dignitaries wives/husbands (lets not be sexist as there have been some First Dudes' too) and they usually have a social cause that they lead on the level akin to Barbara Bush literacy program, Nancy Reagan drug program, etc etc. Other parts of the World I get that its not a big thing, but in the US it is. And 1 more thing to add...her piece of work ex-husband is widely regarded as the 2nd most corrupt official ever to serve in Louisiana, which is a very dubious achievement given some of the parties concerned (no one is ever going to pass Huey Long in the US at least). She will qualify for Sainthood on that basis alone. If you need State level corruption, you can always count on Louisiana and Illinois (who has a string of 4 out of 7 former Governors going to jail).Sunnydoo (talk) 03:37, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

Both the above are listed on 28th as death caused by falling tree. Same ref in each case but when I as a reader go to the reference I get .... Geographical IP block for me too. So I have changed the sources in each of those two entries to ones which will be pretty much universal. We honestly can't keep an "exclusive" hyperlink in there - as many folk as possible from across the world need to be able to verify by visiting the site of the source.
