Easter

edit

It would probably be worth adding something about the role of the site in the annual celebration of Easter in Bucharest, especially the way the flame is carried out into the city. I don't have anything citable on that, but I've been there, and it's a pretty impressive ceremony. - Jmabel | Talk 20:06, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Relation to the surrounding city

edit

I think it would be good to give a little more sense of where the hill is relative to the city: it must have been only a ten or fifteen minute stroll from the Curtea Veche when that was the seat of government, and, of course, today it is an even shorter stroll from Piaţa Unirii. Do we really need anything more than a map to cite for that? - Jmabel | Talk 20:06, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Now that I think of it, though, was there a convenient bridge across the Dâmboviţa there in those days? - Jmabel | Talk 19:06, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Here is an extra bit of history that may help. And here is something even more detailed. Turgidson 19:12, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
