Re: Equipment information edit

A lot of the sizes, both drums and cymbals, mentioned in the article never existed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dekunattsu (talkcontribs) 13:05, 5 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Untitled edit

I remember seeing Cozy Powell in the UK on Chris Evans' TV show (TFI Friday), where he played a short drum solo. Nothing unusual in that I here you say, except he did it on a childs drum-kit !

Have corrected MSG album title from One Night at THE Budokan - removing "THE" (Bigfatspider 21:24, 15 February 2007 (UTC))Reply

In the equipment part it is stated that in 1983 he used Paiste 2000 series cymbals. This is impossible since the 2000 sereis was introduced in 1986. It must have been 2002 series. I changed the entry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.149.209.172 (talk) 11:51, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Didn't Cozy have a solo hit single on one occasion? I seem to remember seeing him on TotP. If so, perhaps it should be mentioned. 130.225.25.18 (talk) 07:39, 31 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Blue Murder edit

I've read that Cozy Powell was in the original version of Blue Murder (before the band's first album), but I didn't see them listed in the list of his bands. I don't know the exact time he was in the band, so I can't add this myself, at least until I learn more. Gringo300 (talk) 04:14, 1 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Birth Name edit

I removed the birth name "Colin Flooks" as there are no reliable references avalable. Also, there are no birth records for a "Colin Flooks" in 1947/48. There is only a record for a "Colin A Flook" born in Bristol in the 4th birth quarter of 1948, but that would be guesswork and likely wrong anyway as it doesn't match his actual birth date.

His name was indeed Colin Flooks, I'm certain of this because he was in my class at Cirencester Grammar School, and we always knew him as 'Flooksy'. That, of course, is not a reliable reference. I'll see if I can find something more solid than hearsay.Chris Jefferies (talk) 14:00, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
I've located a newspaper article from 1966 that uses the surname 'Flooks', refers to the band 'The Corals', and includes a photo that is clearly a young Cozy Powell. I've included that reference in the 'Early life' section. Chris Jefferies (talk) 15:00, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
