I have no idea. I poked around until I found an editorial about the church pew-deed requirements for "respectable white persons" and added that to the article. Removed the template. CaroleHenson, I notice the article was written in 2013 when there was probably less information available online. The passage in the Liberator was a letter to Mr Garrison, its editor, containing a letter to the editor of the Congregationalist, so I have adjusted the article accordingly.
